I thought my concentration needed a piece that was nice and relaxing, since they are all so centered around overcoming problems. I wanted to portray a couple friends bringing their boats to some exotic shore and just hanging out on the beach, having a good time, and so on.
But I accidentally drew mechanically-enhanced, underpaid laborers hanging out at the shipbreaking yards of Bangladesh, which are poisonous wastelands unfit for humans, yet thousands of desperate poverty-stricken people work and die dismantling the country's only source of metal: decaying shipping vessels. I guess my pen slipped and I just had to work with the mistake. And, you know, I think it turned out fantastically anyway.
